Creating an Organization is the foundational step in using SIMLAB STAGES effectively. An Organization acts as your centralized workspace, allowing you to structure multiple projects, manage team members, and assign roles — all within a secure and scalable environment.
This tutorial walks you through each step of creating and configuring an Organization so you can begin managing your construction or renovation workflows with clarity and control.
Step 1: Log In to Your SIMLAB STAGES Account
Start by visiting www.sim-stages.com and logging in with your SIMLAB credentials. If you don’t have an account yet, complete the sign-up process and verify your email before proceeding.
Step 2: Navigate to the Dashboard
Once logged in, you’ll be taken to the main dashboard. If this is your first time accessing the platform, the system may prompt you to create an Organization immediately. Otherwise, look for the “Organizations” tab in the menu bar or side panel.
Step 3: Click “Create New Organization”
In the Organizations section, click the “+ Create New Organization” button. A setup window will appear, prompting you to fill in some basic information.
Step 4: Enter Organization Details
Provide a name for your Organization (e.g., “ABC Construction Co” or “Downtown Office Reno”). Optionally, add a short description, company logo, or assign tags to help distinguish between multiple Organizations if you plan to manage several.
You can also configure some initial settings, such as your preferred date format, default language, or time zone, which will apply across all projects under this Organization.
Step 5: Add Team Members
Once your Organization is created, you’ll have the option to invite users. Enter the email addresses of your team members and assign appropriate roles
You can skip this step and invite users later if preferred.
Step 6: Save and Confirm
Click “Create” or “Save” to finalize your new Organization. The system will now return you to the dashboard, where your new Organization appears in your list. From here, you can start creating projects, uploading Matterport scans, and inviting stakeholders.
Next Steps: Begin Building Your Project Library
With your Organization in place, you’re ready to create your first project and start syncing Matterport models or BIM data. You can manage multiple projects within the same Organization, track progress over time, and use built-in communication tools to collaborate across teams.
Creating an Organization ensures your projects and teams are structured, secure, and scalable — all within the powerful visual interface of SIMLAB STAGES.
